Job Description

Busy medical and cosmetic dermatology practice in Crofton, MD seeks motivated, detail oriented, and personable Medical Assistant to assist in providing quality patient care. Must be computer literate and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Turn over exam rooms including restocking, pre-patient preparation and clean up. Room patients, scribe and document patient's primary complaint, history of present condition, review of medical, social, and family histories, medications, allergies, and reason for their visit. Shadow physician/
MA:
Prepare for and assist with surgeries and procedures, both medical and cosmetic.
Triage:
Assist with answering patient's questions, refilling prescriptions, prior authorizations, pathology, and explaining test results.
Requirements:
Experience working in a medical environment. Scribe experience. Excellent listening and note-taking skills. Charting, medical documentation, and EMR experience preferred. Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Computer literacy:
EMR (Nextech preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS Will consider applicants who are preparing to apply to medical or physician assistant school.
Job Type:
