Job Description

Southeast New Mexico Podiatry has a
NEW PROVIDER
joining our practice! Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters in real-time. This role is essential in ensuring that medical records are complete and up-to-date, allowing for improved patient care and streamlined clinical workflows. Responsibilities Accurately document patient histories, physical exams, and other relevant information during medical encounters. Assist healthcare providers in the documentation of patient care in various settings including urgent care, inpatient, and emergency medicine. Ensure that all medical records comply with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication within the healthcare team. Maintain knowledge of anatomy, medication administration, vital signs, and basic life support protocols to enhance documentation accuracy. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices for medical documentation. Requirements Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and vital sign assessment. Experience or knowledge in urgent care, inpatient care, hospital medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

$15.00 - $16.50 per hour
