Full-Time Shift 1 Job Description This position is responsible for transcribing and interpreting medical reports, verifying correct medication dosages, ensuring correct spelling and use of medical terminology, ensuring correct punctuation and grammar, making necessary corrections and/or alerting physicians to errors/discrepancies under the supervision of the Practice Management Supervisor. Education And Credentials High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in Medical Secretarial or a related field or a graduate of an approved transcription program preferred. Associate's degree and/or one (1) year recent hospital experience. Certified medical transcriptionist preferred. Experience Knowledge of medical terminology and able to make decisions independently.
