Medical Scribe Hilton Head Island, SC $23-25/hour Join a Respected Specialty Practice as a Medical Scribe Are you passionate about healthcare and looking to gain valuable clinical experience while working alongside a physician? We're seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe to become an integral part of a busy specialty practice serving patients in Hilton Head, with occasional travel to a local surgery center and the Bluffton office. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone considering a future career in medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, or healthcare administration, as you'll work side-by-side with an experienced physician and gain firsthand exposure to patient care in both the clinic and procedural setting. Responsibilities Document patient encounters in real time within the electronic medical record (EMR). Accurately capture patient histories, physical exams, assessments, procedures, and treatment plans as dictated by the physician. Assist in maintaining complete, organized, and timely medical documentation. Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Accompany the physician to the surgery center and satellite office as needed. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Serve as a professional representative of the practice while interacting with patients and staff. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience in a medical office, medical scribing, medical assisting, EMT, CNA, or healthcare customer service is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy preferred. Excellent typing, listening, and computer skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
