Medical Scribe Hilton Head Island, SC Full-Time | $25-$27/hour (Based on Experience) Work Side-by-Side with a Specialist Physician Join one of the region's leading specialty practices as a Medical Scribe and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. This is an outstanding opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced physician, gaining invaluable clinical exposure while helping ensure accurate, efficient documentation throughout the patient visit. This position is based in Hilton Head Island with occasional travel to the Bluffton office and a local surgery center. Whether you're an experienced scribe or someone with a strong clinical background looking to expand your career, this role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced specialty practice. Responsibilities Document patient encounters in real time within the electronic medical record (EMR). Accurately record patient histories, physical examinations, assessments, procedures, and treatment plans as dictated by the physician. Prepare and maintain complete, accurate, and timely medical documentation. Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. Accompany the physician to satellite offices and the surgery center as needed. Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and staff. Assist with additional administrative and clinical documentation duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, EMT, CNA, or other clinical support role preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Excellent typing speed and computer proficiency. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Outstanding listening, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Professional, dependable, and eager to learn.
