In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration, provide personalized care, and support residents' daily needs in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help create a safe, comfortable environment that promotes dignity and independence for those we serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic healthcare environment while delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Safely administer medications according to prescribed instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assess residents' health status regularly. Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding—especially in memory care or hospice settings. Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medication administration and patient progress. Support patients with specialized needs such as catheter care, tube feeding, or other complex medical procedures by following proper protocols. Observe and report changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff or supervisors, ensuring timely interventions. Engage with residents compassionately, providing emotional support and companionship while respecting their dignity and privacy under HIPAA guidelines. Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation. Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory impairments or those requiring hospice care. Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, catheter care, tube feeding assistance and medication management. Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience and empathy when working with seniors or people with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient records and sensitive information.
