Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals and a strong understanding of patient care practices. As a Medication Technician, you will play a crucial role in administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols. Duties Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff. Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal care needs as required. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide support for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other developmental disabilities. Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to infection control standards. Engage with residents to promote their emotional well-being and quality of life. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Familiarity with medication administration practices and procedures. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent training is preferred.
