Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration, patient care, and support for individuals across various care settings. Your expertise will help ensure safe, compassionate, and personalized care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all federal, state, and facility regulations, including HIPAA compliance. Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, hygiene, feeding (including tube feeding), and catheter care. Document medical records meticulously, ensuring clarity in medical terminology and adherence to confidentiality standards. Support nursing staff by providing assistance with medical procedures, including wound care, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and hospice support. Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental condition promptly to the healthcare team. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper handling of medical supplies and medications. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Proven knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration techniques. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care or hospice services. Strong caregiving skills demonstrated through previous roles in senior care or community-based settings. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities while maintaining compassion and professionalism. Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour
