Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician/Caregiver to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications following all state healthcare regulations and facility protocols, including oral, topical, and injectable medications Assist residents with daily personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care by implementing individualized care plans Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide companionship to promote emotional well-being Perform manual handling tasks safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers, adhering to proper body mechanics and safety standards Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential recognized by the State Board of Nursing is required Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease Proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner for documentation purposes Valid CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety standards for self and residents Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and caregivers while maintaining resident dignity and respect Level 2 Background Screening CNA Cross-trained Preferred Join us if you're passionate about providing exceptional patient-centered care!
