JOB SUMMARY
The Medication Aide works under the supervision of the Supervisor, administering oral and topical medications, skin treatments, and performing other duties required in the care of the customer for the purpose of conservation of health.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to work when scheduled and remain at work through scheduled shift, unless receiving special permission from the Director of Nursing Services or the Supervisor. Carry out and follow all facility personnel policies. Receive the daily report and assignment from the supervisor. Remain on the assigned unit, leaving only for break, lunch, or with the express permission of the supervisor. Notify the Supervisor of any change in a customer's condition. Prepare and administer oral and topical medications and skin treatments, with accurate documentation. Participate in all in-service training and meetings as required. Help maintain a clean and orderly medication room and cart. Help maintain a safe, clean working environment, by following safety rules, performing accident-free work, and following procedures for safe lifting and transfer of customers. Make sure that all customers assigned are clean, groomed, and dressed properly at all times. Provide good personal care to customers as directed by the Supervisor, implementing the nursing care program. Conduct self as competent member of the health care team. Maintain a pleasant personal appearance. Must display responsibility, dependability, and punctuality and a pleasant personality appropriate for working effectively with customers, visitors, and staff. Follow facility policies and procedures when performing duties. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.Pay:
$20.00- $21.
