Full Job Description Pay:
$17.00-18.00 Job description: Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals and will be skilled in working with elderly individuals. As a Med Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining accurate medical documentation. All shifts available. 7am-3pm and 2pm-10pm. Responsibilities Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate. Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Document patient care activities accurately in MAR system. Relay all needs to Wellness Director to ensure daily needs are met. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding changes in resident conditions. Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors and individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Experience with memory care, hospice care, dementia care, or home care is a plus. Strong understanding of patient care principles and commitment to providing high-quality service. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism at all times. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
