Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medication administration and caregiving, with a passion for providing quality care to patients in various healthcare settings.Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and document patient responses to medications
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management
- Maintain accurate medication records and reports
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Requirements:
- Would appreciate experience in medication administration, caregiving, or related fields such as medical office, hospice care, home care, or acute care but no degree needed!
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration
- Experience with electronic health records systems like BlueStep is a plus
