Medication Technician (Med Tech) Join the Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehab Team! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team at Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehab in Antioch, Illinois. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing exceptional care. Responsibilities:
Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, using aseptic techniques and following established protocols Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse Conduct routine checks on residents to ensure their physical and emotional well-being Report any changes or concerns to nursing staff and physicians Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and resident care
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Medication Technician certification (CMT) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire Previous experience in a healthcare setting or related field preferred Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
