Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Safely administer prescribed medications following all protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living, catheter care, and mobility support. Document medical records meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and legal requirements. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and communicate patient needs effectively. Support patients with dementia or memory care needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to their condition. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety protocols in assisted living or hospital settings. Qualifications Valid certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) or equivalent state license required. Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration techniques. Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
