Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and facility protocols Monitor and record residents' vital signs, medication effects, and overall health status Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Maintain detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice care Follow all HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive medical records Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in residents' conditions and participate in care planning meetings Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations and safety standards through manual handling and heavy lifting when necessary Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and other medical procedures under supervision of licensed nursing staff Provide compassionate support to residents with developmental disabilities or those requiring assisted living services Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in senior living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR and first aid certifications Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks related to resident care Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members, residents, and families Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care strategies, and behavior management techniques Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality at all times Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued Ability to adhere to state Board of Nursing requirements and healthcare regulations governing medication administration and patient safety Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
