Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (Evenings) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide safe and accurate medication administration to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar care settings. Your expertise will ensure residents receive their prescribed medications while maintaining compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities, delivering high-quality care during evening shifts. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately to residents following physician orders and facility protocols Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition Document medication administration and resident responses thoroughly using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding as needed Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and medical records Support residents with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, or behavioral challenges Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical documentation and communicate any concerns regarding resident health Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols Experience with medical documentation systems like EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner is a plus Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs Strong understanding of infection control practices and HIPAA compliance standards Previous caregiving experience in senior care, hospice care, or acute care settings is advantageous Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion Join us to provide exceptional medication management and compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
