CNA Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients. This position requires strong clinical skills and caregiving skills along with the ability to work effectively with elderly residents and their families.
Duties:
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures and collect blood samples for laboratory testing
  • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with primary care tasks, including dressing changes, wound care, and medication administration
  • Provide airway management support, including suctioning and oxygen administration
  • Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Assist with acute care procedures under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
  • Utilize electronic medical records systems (e.g., Cerner) to document patient information accurately
  • Provide critical care support to patients in emergency situations
  • Assist with physical examinations and assist healthcare providers as needed
Skills:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or relevant nursing assistant experience
  • Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and blood sample collection
  • Strong knowledge of vital sign measurement and interpretation
  • Experience in providing primary care tasks, such as wound care and medication administration
  • Familiarity with airway management procedures and equipment
  • Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of acute care procedures and protocols
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (e.g., Cerner)
  • Ability to provide critical care support during emergency situations
