Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our assisted living and nursing home facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient health, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to maintain accurate medical records while delivering high-quality patient care. Duties Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines. Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff. Assist with daily living activities, providing care and support to enhance residents' quality of life. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and communication purposes. Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding medication management and health-related issues. Uphold a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all residents. Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent credential. Experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with vital signs monitoring. Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism. Proficient in using electronic medical records systems; experience with Epic is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record keeping. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
