Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team in Maryland. As a CMT, you will play a vital role in providing safe, effective medication administration and personalized resident care within a senior living or healthcare facility. Your expertise will ensure residents receive their medications accurately while supporting their overall well-being, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and in accordance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Monitor residents' vital signs and assess their physical condition regularly to ensure safety and well-being Observe and report any changes in residents' health status, behaviors, or symptoms related to conditions such as dementia or memory care needs Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to maintain resident confidentiality and protect sensitive medical information Support residents with activities of daily living, including medication reminders and ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans Qualifications Valid Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification or equivalent licensure recognized by the State Board of Nursing Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care best practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Current CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications like hospice care or memory care training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as required for resident assistance Strong communication skills for caregiver interactions and team collaboration while maintaining professionalism at all times Join our team if you're passionate about delivering compassionate, expert care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
