Passionate Behavioral Health Center Baltimore, MD Job Details Full-time $18 - $19 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Vital signs BLS Certification Certified Medication Technician High school diploma or GED First Aid Certification Full Job Description Position Summary The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) is responsible for the safe administration of prescribed medications to residents in a residential behavioral health program. The CMT works closely with nursing staff, program managers, and direct care staff to ensure residents receive quality care while maintaining compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and physician orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications according to physician orders and medication administration policies. Accurately document medication administration and maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs). Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to nursing staff. Assist with medication refills, inventory, storage, and medication counts. Ensure medications are stored securely and in compliance with state regulations. Monitor and document resident vital signs as required. Communicate changes in resident behavior, health status, or medication compliance to supervisors and clinical staff. Support residents with daily living activities as needed. Participate in shift reports, team meetings, and training programs. Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times. Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established crisis intervention procedures. Qualifications Current Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required. High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in residential, behavioral health, mental health, or developmental disability settings preferred. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and documentation requirements. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
