Job Description

Training Coordinator:
At Cedarbrook Senior Living, we work hard every day to find out what "Celebrating Life Every Day!" means to our residents and their families, then we help them achieve these goals. We are seeking a dynamic Training Coordinator for our Bloomfield Hills community.
Responsibilities:
Assists residents with their personal care which includes grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition, etc. Responds to pendant pushes to determine resident's needs and conducts routine rounds on residents to verify safety. Listens to and understands the problems of residents and reports observations immediately to Supervisor, if appropriate. Works as a Caregiver, CNA, or Med Tech as scheduled. Assists the Director of Staff Development with orienting Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Nursing Home staff to policies and procedures before being released from New Employee Orientation. Fosters a high degree of quality care by assisting the Director of Staff Development with coaching and counseling Caregivers, CNAs, and Med Techs. Nurtures, supports, guides, and offers resources to new and current team members through training. Provides feedback regarding the training and mentoring process for new and current team members to the Director of Staff Development. Completes competency skills required for floor training checkoffs with new hire CNAs, Caregivers, and Med Techs to ensure goals and objectives are met. Perform assessments for Med Tech Medication Pass Observation Check and Competency Evaluation. Conducts assessments for CNA and Caregiver Competency Evaluation. Observes and reports observations such as resident change of condition, incidents, injuries, skin concerns. Reports when team member's competencies do not meet policy, procedures, and Health and Safety regulations by offering on the job training and corrective action as needed to retain positive outcomes for residents and staff. Collaborates with the Director of Staff Development with monitoring training activities, verifying progress and outcomes. Conducts training and orientation for new hire care staff during the absence of the Director of Staff Development.
Education/Experience:
Certified Nurse Assistant Certification in good standing, preferred. Med Tech training course completion though MCAL required within 90 days of hire.
