In this role, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, medication administration (as delegated by the RN Supervisor), documentation, and other services that help maintain each resident's physical, emotional, and overall well-being. You will work closely with our nursing team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and high-quality care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required CNA, NAR, or HHA certification preferred Experience working with older adults or vulnerable populations preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read, write, and understand English, including basic medical terminology Dependable with a strong attendance record Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Comfortable using and carrying a work cell phone while on duty Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing quality resident care Responsibilities Resident Care Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal hygiene Encourage resident independence while providing appropriate assistance Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment Assist with personal laundry as needed Perform routine care procedures as delegated by the RN Supervisor Medication Administration Administer medications and medication reminders according to the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and RN delegation Follow policies regarding PRN medications, narcotics, and medication documentation Reorder medications and supplies as needed Follow infection control and standard precaution procedures Assist with medication procedures for residents leaving the facility Documentation & Reporting Document resident care and completed services during every shift Report changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor Complete incident reports according to company policy Maintain accurate communication logs and resident records Administrative Duties Complete required documentation and resident paperwork Review resident care plans and service records Read communication logs before each shift File resident records and complete monthly MAR documentation Resident Activities Encourage resident participation in scheduled activities Escort residents to activities as needed Lead activities when assigned Help create a positive, engaging environment for residents Teamwork & Professionalism Work collaboratively with nursing staff, housekeeping, kitchen staff, and other team members Assist coworkers as needed to maintain 24-hour staffing coverage Participate in staff meetings and training Remain calm and professional during emergencies or challenging situations Assist with meal setup, serving, and cleanup when needed Help train new team members Compliance Follow all federal, state, and company policies Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Vulnerable Adult protections, and resident rights Complete required annual training Maintain current health requirements, including Mantoux testing or chest X-rays when required Schedule Available opportunities include: Weekend shifts Overnight shifts On-call coverage Shift availability may vary based on staffing needs.
