Job Overview Baptist Homes of Vandalia is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to join our healthcare ministry. In this role, you will administer medications and provide supportive care to our residents while working closely with nursing staff to ensure each individual's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met in a Christlike manner. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to residents according to physician orders and state regulations Observe and report medication side effects or resident health changes to licensed nursing staff Accurately document medication administration and resident responses Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed Maintain resident confidentiality and dignity at all times Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications Follow infection control protocols and promote a safe, clean working environment Support residents' spiritual well-being in alignment with Baptist Homes' mission Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and coworkers Attend staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and professional development Qualifications Active Missouri CMT certification (Required) Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license (Required for CMT role in Missouri) Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping Compassionate, Christ-centered approach to care Ability to work effectively in a team and manage time well Physical ability to lift and assist residents as needed Familiarity with Resident Rights and a commitment to ethical care practices Strong moral character aligned with the mission and Statement of Faith of Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries Preferred Traits Reliable, punctual, and organized Neat and professional appearance Flexible and willing to adapt to changing resident needs Calm and focused under pressure Positive and respectful communication skills Benefits Competitive wages Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay Retirement plan options Supportive Christian work environment Opportunities for training and career growth Join a ministry thatJOYFULLY SERVES
