Job Description

Practices in accordance with the regulations of the state. Receives report from the previous shift and Med Aide. Maintains physicians orders in accordance with policy. Communicates appropriately with all care partners and utilizes appropriate communication tools. Completes appropriate documentation each shift. Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions. Reports deficiencies observed in resident apartments clothing/linen and community to administrator. Completes Incident Report form as needed for any unusual occurrence. Observes and communicates any changes in resident physical or mental status as directed. Is thoroughly familiar with fire, missing persons and other emergency procedures. Avoids loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment. Maintains a neat and orderly Medication Room. Maintains resident record for each resident including but not limited to, obtaining current physician orders, clarifying orders, and alert and monthly charting.
Job Qualifications:
Free of non-treated communicable disease. Holds current
CPR/First Aid Certification Physical Demands:
Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50lbs. Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs. Ability to continuously walk or stand.
Universal Precautions:
Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Potential exposure to communicable diseases.
