Responsibilities Prepare and administer medications accurately according to physician orders and facility protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor residents' vital signs, assess responses to medication, and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition promptly. Maintain detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, documenting medication administration, patient care activities, and relevant observations. Assist with specialized care procedures including tube feeding, catheter care, and dementia or Alzheimer's care to support residents' unique needs. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans focused on senior care, hospice care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Ensure medication storage areas are secure, organized, and compliant with safety standards; manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed. Follow all safety protocols related to medical records management, medical terminology usage, and anatomy/physiology knowledge to ensure high-quality patient care. Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home & community care environments. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the principles of medication administration. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical documentation practices. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, tube feeding assistance, catheter care, and working with individuals with disabilities or dementia-related conditions. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and residents' families.
