Job Description

Certified Medication Aide Join the dedicated team at Westfield Quality Care of Aurora, a Long-Term Nursing facility, as a Certified Medication Aide . As a vital member of our healthcare family, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and assistance to our residents. About the
Role:
As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications, treatments, and procedures to our residents under the supervision of our licensed nursing staff. You will also assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, and provide emotional support and companionship to our residents.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by licensed nursing staff Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Provide emotional support and companionship to our residents Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement care plans Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and safety
Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Nebraska High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a healthcare-related field preferred Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
