Full Job Description Certified Medication Aide Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow, OK. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications in a safe and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, following established protocols and procedures Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting with positioning Assist with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a physician Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization Collect laboratory specimens (e.g., urine, blood) and perform basic lab tests Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
Requirements:
Certified Medication Aide certification Previous experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care practices Ability to perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and administering injections Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
