Day Shift About the Role We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team in Elizabethtown, PA, supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). In this role, you will play a vital part in our residents' daily lives, ensuring they receive their medications accurately, safely, and on time, while maintaining the highest standards of care and dignity. Key Responsibilities Medication Administration:
Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications to residents with IDD according to physician orders and facility policies.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of medication administration, refills, and any observed side effects or changes in resident condition.
Monitoring:
Observe residents for reactions to medications and promptly report any concerns to the nursing supervisor.
Compliance:
Strictly adhere to state regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols.
Resident Care:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, fostering a supportive and welcoming environment tailored to their specific needs.
Communication:
Coordinate effectively with nursing staff, pharmacy providers, and family members to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Qualifications Certification:
Must hold a valid, active Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
Experience:
Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or clinical setting is preferred. Experience working with the IDD population is a plus.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Character:
A warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
