Qualifications:
21 years of age or older unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide (CNA) registry High school diploma/equivalent required unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide (CNA) registry Completion of approved medication training required; if training is provided, successful completion of medication training is required Must possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong communication skills Experience working with seniors preferred The Personal Care Medication Aide & Caregiver is responsible for distributing medications and treatments to our residents. This position also performs the general duties and responsibilities of the household caregiver. The medication aide provides medical and physical care to the residents of the household to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level. This position is the resident's closest advocate in the household. As a caregiver, this role promotes the resident's psychosocial wellbeing and works with the household team to meet other social service resident needs. This role plans and facilitates social activities for residents of the household which provide meaningful ways to spend time as recreation, exercise, relationship building and fun. This role also supports the household homemaker in maintaining a clean safe household environment and in caring for the residents' personal laundry.
