Job Description

Cascade Health Services is searching for a professional CMA (Certified Medication Aide) to join our "Great Place to Work" Certified Team! The CMA will provide compassionate support to the community and administer medications in accordance with established nursing standards, standards of medication aide practices and state and federal requirements. Must hold a current permit as a Medication Aide (MA) valid in the State of Texas. Must hold a current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification valid in the State of Texas and be in good standing. Previous experience with medication aide duties, preferred. Physical & sensory abilities commensurate with this position to include but not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Good communications skills & ability to work with a Team of professionals. Supportive and compassionate. Responsibilities Follow established facility policies and procedures to administer medications to residents in accordance with physician's orders. Provide care to residents following facility policies and procedures. Report residents' needs and concerns to a licensed nurse. Requisition adequate medications and supplies to administer medications in an accurate and timely manner. Participate in supervision of care provided to resident. Document resident cares related to medication administration, related monitoring, and report to the licensed nurse any occurrence of observed adverse effects/change in resident's condition. Perform duties of Certified Nurse Aide as assigned.
