Job Description

Full Time Certified Medication Aide Double Weekend 6 AM to 10 PM We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential care to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical documentation, physiology, and experience with hospice and memory care. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications. Provide support with tube feeding and other specialized care as needed. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about medication management and health maintenance. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all caregiving activities. Requirements Certification as a Medication Aide is required. Previous experience in hospice care, nursing homes, or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medical records management systems, such as Epic, is a plus. Strong understanding of physiology and medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
