THIS POSITION IS FOR CHISHOLM TRAIL SENIOR LIVING
Part-time, $16 - $17 per hour The Medication Aide performs a variety of resident care duties including administering medication, recording medication dosages and taking and recording vital signs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • gives/delivers routine daily medications to residents, either prescription as prescribed or non-prescription, with RN delegation
  • coordinates with medical professionals to assist with resident care and medications
  • follows written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications
  • records medication dosages and times
  • observes residents and documents changes in their condition
  • upholds all health and safety standards
  • responds to all emergency signals to identify residents' needs
  • reports any concerns or issues about residents to supervisor and/or appropriate parties
  • ensures equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned
  • takes and records vital signs with RN delegation
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 0-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Computer Skills competency with Microsoft Office Suite
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
  • is frequently required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse
  • is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck
  • may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job:
  • the employee is in a typical office environment
  • the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally noisy
