Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately according to physician orders and established protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Monitor and record vital signs, patient responses, and medication effects using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with activities of daily living, including tube feeding, catheter care, and mobility assistance through manual handling techniques Document medical records thoroughly and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, hospice, and other specialized needs by providing attentive, respectful care tailored to individual conditions Follow safety procedures for heavy lifting and patient transfer to prevent injury while ensuring comfort and dignity Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are executed effectively Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and geriatric patient needs Proven ability to operate EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner efficiently Experience administering medications and performing medical documentation accurately in compliance with state Board of Nursing standards Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus Certification as a Medication Aide from the State Board of Nursing is required; CPR and First Aid certifications are essential Hands-on experience with medical procedures including tube feeding, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) Join our team to deliver compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
