About the Role As a Medication Assistant Med Aide, you'll play a vital role in supporting our residents with safe, timely medication assistance while promoting dignity and independence. You'll collaborate with our nursing team, caregivers, and families in a person-first environment, providing ADL assistance, companionship, and observing changes in condition. Responsibilities Administer medications per policy; document accurately Observe and report changes in condition promptly Assist with ADLs and provide companionship Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures Use healthcare software and complete task lists reliably Skills & Attributes Attention to detail and documentation accuracy Calm, compassionate presence; strong communication Computer comfort; quick learner of new software Adaptability to changing needs and priorities Team player who builds trust Relatable Experience Certified Medication Aide/Assistant roles in senior living Caregiving, hospitality, or customer service Volunteer work with vulnerable populations Qualifications At least 18 years of age CPR & First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Current negative TB test; background check clearance Able to carry/transfer up to 25 lbs with assistance Why Join Highgate We offer more than a job - we offer a mission.
