Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Aide / Caregiver, where your dedication will directly enhance the quality of life for residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This vital role combines medication administration with personalized caregiving, ensuring residents receive safe, respectful, and attentive support. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care, including vital signs monitoring, medical documentation, and assisting with daily activities. Duties Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including oral, topical, and tube feeding medications while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner Assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and personal hygiene to promote independence and dignity Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments through tailored memory care techniques and compassionate engagement Support residents with complex medical needs such as catheter care, tube feeding, and hospice or palliative care requirements Document all patient interactions meticulously within medical records ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accurate medical documentation practices Collaborate with nursing staff to update care plans based on physiological changes or new medical orders while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Experience Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home & community care environments is highly preferred Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology fundamentals necessary for accurate patient care and medication administration Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in diverse settings Knowledge of hospice care principles and dementia-specific caregiving techniques enhances your ability to provide comprehensive support Strong understanding of medical records management and documentation standards required for compliance and quality assurance Prior caregiving roles involving acute or long-term care will help you excel in this position This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your healthcare expertise while making a meaningful difference in residents' lives. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
