GED Full Job Description Resident Assistant Shift:
PM Location:
Ovation Communities — Chai Point Ovation Communities is seeking a Resident Assistant to perform direct resident care, assist with activities of daily living and provides a safe environment in which the residents live.
Key Responsibilities:
Works alone giving total care or assists residents with the following: tub bath or shower, perineal care, dental, hair, nail, shaving, dressing and undressing, applications of make-up, hearing aids and eyeglasses. Elimination needs providing for and changing protective padding, toileting by offering bed pan, urinal or taking to bathroom, Foley catheter care. Ambulating, assisting with walkers, transferring with gait belt. Administer medications to residents. Answers all call lights promptly and pendants promptly. Encourages active participation of residents in meeting their needs by promoting individualized, restorative care, attending activities, council meetings, and family involvement. Takes and records temperatures, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and weight. Feeds and/or assists residents with meals, encourages the use of adaptive devices.

Experience:
Experience working with geriatric (preferred)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Licenses & Certifications:
CBRF Certification Medication Certification (if duties include passing medication)
Other:
Must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion. Read, write and speak the English language.
