The Med Aide also monitors residents for any adverse reactions or changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff or supervisors. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a UW-Green Bay Medication Administration course Basic knowledge of medication administration and assisted living care principles. Ability to pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a Med Aide or in assisted living care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Additional certifications related to elder care or healthcare support.

Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents following established protocols and guidelines. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Observe and monitor residents for side effects, adverse reactions, or changes in health status, reporting any concerns immediately. Assist residents with daily living activities as needed, including mobility support and personal hygiene. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, healthcare providers, residents, and their families to ensure coordinated care. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with medication administration practices and assisted living care standards. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations related to medication administration and resident care.
