Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact working as a dedicated paraprofessional in a vibrant educational environment located near Huntington Beach, CA! This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about helping students succeed in their extended school year (ESY) programs. You'll work alongside experienced staff, supporting both instructional and behavioral goals, and ensuring students have every opportunity to reach their full potential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a comparable educational support role Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and parents Experience working with students with a variety of learning needs Flexible, adaptive, and enthusiastic approach to daily challenges Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment Familiarity with ESY programs or behavioral assistance is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during the extended school year Assist classroom teachers with implementing academic and behavioral strategies Encourage student engagement and participation Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff Help facilitate classroom activities and maintain a positive learning atmosphere Support students in developing social skills and independence Work collaboratively with school professionals and families as needed As part of this dynamic community, you will find daily inspiration and purpose knowing your contributions help shape students' lives for the better.
