Live-In Household Assistant — Lafayette | $25/hr + Private Room

We're looking for a kind, considerate, and trustworthy student or educator to join a warm, welcoming home in Lafayette as a live-in household assistant. You'll enjoy a lovely furnished room with a private entrance in a quiet, artfully curated home.

How it works:

You pay $1500/month in rent at the start of each month. In return, you're guaranteed a minimum of 10-15 hours of work per week at $25/hour — enough to make the rent affordable by month's end. This setup is designed for someone who wants a flexible, low-overhead lifestyle with a sense of purpose built in. About the home & host: Our host is a lovely couple who have dedicated their lives to public service, where they served in the Carter Administration. They are avid Habitat for Humanity volunteers and love spending time with their furry companion, Valentine (the dog). They're seeking a values-aligned student or educator to join their home. Their goal is simply to age gracefully in the home they love.

The space:

Private room in a quiet, welcoming home environment with a private entrance off of courtyard.

Responsibilities:

Driving Meal prep and cooking Pet care, especially going on walks with Valentine PT exercises Light household chores and support

Gardening Who You Are:

Kind, curious, and conversational with a sense of humor Respectful with a shared value for community Must be comfortable with dogs

Pay:

Up to $25.00 per hour
