This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced licensed eligible clinician (APCC [Associate Professional Clinical Counselor], ASW [Associate Clinical Social Worker] or AMFT [Associate Marriage and Family Therapist] preferred) at the Long Beach Campus, operated in partnership with National Healthcare & Housing Advisors (NHHA). This position will require flexibility, innovation, passion for implementing new ideas and programs, as well as some travel within the greater Long Beach and Los Angeles area. The clinician will be responsible for responding to behavioral health issues identified during intake of a client to Recuperative Care, Sobering Station, Urgent Care, and support Street Medicine team. The clinician will be responsible for providing brief counseling (mainly crisis intervention), psychosocial assessments, and mental health/substance use support; developing and implementing skill-building groups, relapse prevention groups, and process groups; and being innovative in addressing any other needs identified with the population to support their recovery. The role will involve working closely with vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities Respond to behavioral health issues identified during intake of a client to Recuperative Care, Sobering Station, and Urgent Care, and support the Street Medicine team. Provide brief solution-focused counseling, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, and mental health/substance use support. Develop and implement skill-building groups, relapse prevention groups, and process groups, and be innovative in addressing any other needs identified with the population to support their recovery. Work closely with vulnerable populations. Provide support for the Safety & Stabilization Counselors. Attend clinical supervision to fulfill the California Behavioral Health Board requirements. Document services provided in accordance with requirements. Qualifications Registered license-eligible ASW, APCC, or AMFT. Experience working with vulnerable populations, especially those experiencing homelessness, severe persistent mental illness, addiction, co-occurring conditions, and co-morbid complex medical conditions.
