In our residential and intensive outpatient programs, we provide training, treatment, and resiliency tools for those experiencing operational stress, burnout, substance use, post-traumatic stress injury, and other job-related challenges to reset and return to work stronger than ever. We're seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Technician - Primary Mental Health to provide direct patient care in our detox and residential treatment programs. Schedule:
Full-Time 4 x 10 workday Friday and Saturday 7:00pm to 5:30pm, Sunday and Monday 1:00pm to 10:30pm Responsibilities section Provide direct care and support to residents in a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment Assist with admissions, resident orientation, screenings, and intake procedures Monitor residents' physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being, reporting significant changes to the clinical team Document resident observations, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record (EHR) Support trauma-informed crisis intervention, de-escalation, and resident compliance with program guidelines Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, first aid, and urinalysis collections as permitted Follow infection control, safety, and emergency response procedures Assist with meal service, including light food preparation and reheating Transport residents to appointments and approved community activities as needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team and perform other duties as assigned Skills section: High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record. DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance, TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and California Food Handler Card (if applicable). Current or in-progress RTSS certification (or equivalent), or qualifying behavioral health residential experience. Knowledge of HIPAA and trauma-informed care principles. Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use electronic health record (EHR) systems and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive in crisis situations. Every shift is an opportunity to help first responders take the first steps toward lasting recovery.
