$49.47 Folsom Cordova Unified School District (FCUSD) Student Wellness is seeking a full-time Mental Health Specialist Substitute (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) to provide temporary support in elementary and secondary school settings from August 4 through the end of October. This position delivers comprehensive, student-centered mental and behavioral health services, including individual and small-group counseling, support for students with behavioral challenges, and classroom-based social-emotional learning lessons. The substitute clinician will collaborate closely with school administrators, student support staff, and families, and serve as an active member of school-based teams to connect students with needed internal and community resources. We are looking for clinicians with strong knowledge of school-based mental health practices who can contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment through whole-school and targeted interventions. The selected candidate will join a collaborative team of 24 Student Wellness clinicians, offering strong peer support and shared expertise. This is a full-time assignment, with a typical work schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. About

Job Announcement -> Mental Health Specialist I Provide mental health services for individuals and families including counseling, consultation, mental health evaluations, case management, and other duties as required. Assist with program planning, assessment, feedback, supervision, mentoring, report writing, and contract administration. Mental health services may be provided at various sites within the district and surrounding community.
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
A minimum of four (4)years of experience working in a school setting (preferred) or related experience working with individuals aged 3 - 21 or working with schools
Education:
A master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of psychology, social work, counseling education, or related field. Licensed to act independently in the State of California to provide mental health services (LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist). As described by the state licensing board, be actively qualified to supervise interns and associates. (MFT, MSW, LCP).
Upon Conditional Offer of Employment:
DOJ and FBI Criminal Background Check TB Test within the last 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667) Complete district Mandated Reporter training, Sexual Harassment, etc.
