This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, providing personalized support that fosters growth, safety, and well-being. As an ILS Coach, you will be a key advocate for your clients, utilizing your expertise in behavior management, communication, and caregiving to make a meaningful difference every day. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's needs, goals, and preferences. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide behavioral health support by applying positive behavior management techniques and tracking progress through data collection. Support clients during community outings and ensure safe operation of standard passenger cars for transportation needs. Utilize communication skills such as American Sign Language or other methods to effectively engage with clients who have communication challenges. Administer medications and perform first aid or CPR as necessary to ensure client safety. Collect detailed documentation on client progress, behavior incidents, and service delivery to maintain accurate records for compliance and planning. Offer personal transportation assistance and caregiving support within home and community settings. Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and social services to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or cognitive disabilities in achieving their personal goals through consistent encouragement and skill-building activities. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management strategies is essential. Experience in behavioral health or social services environments will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Familiarity with medication administration, data collection methods, and documentation standards is important. Personal transportation assistance experience is a plus, along with the ability to operate a standard passenger car safely. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective client interaction and collaboration with team members. Certifications such as first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications related to caregiving or behavioral support are advantageous.
