Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Behavior Management Assistant to join our ABA team serving adults with developmental and behavioral needs. The Behavior Management Assistant will play an important role in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA while providing day-to-day guidance and oversight to paraprofessionals working directly with adult clients. This position is ideal for a behavioral health professional who enjoys working directly with adults, has strong leadership and communication skills, and is interested in developing their clinical expertise within an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) setting. The Behavior Management Assistant will work closely with the supervising BCBA to support consistent implementation of treatment plans, monitor client progress, provide coaching to direct-care staff, and help ensure services are delivered with professionalism, dignity, and fidelity to each client's individualized goals. Responsibilities Client Services & Treatment Implementation Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA. Provide direct behavioral support to adult clients as needed. Support clients in developing functional communication, adaptive living, social, vocational, and community-based skills. Follow established behavior protocols and reinforcement strategies with consistency and professionalism. Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data. Observe client progress and communicate relevant observations, concerns, and changes to the supervising BCBA. Assist with identifying barriers to treatment implementation and participate in developing solutions under BCBA direction. Promote client dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life throughout service delivery. Paraprofessional Oversight & Support Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to paraprofessionals working directly with adult clients. Monitor paraprofessional implementation of treatment plans and behavioral strategies. Model appropriate intervention techniques and provide constructive feedback to staff. Help ensure consistency and fidelity in the implementation of behavioral programs. Communicate staff performance concerns, training needs, and client-related issues to the supervising BCBA. Assist with onboarding and training new paraprofessional staff as appropriate. Foster a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Documentation & Collaboration Maintain timely and accurate clinical and service documentation. Review data and documentation for completeness and communicate trends or concerns to the BCBA. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, staff trainings, and other clinical activities. Collaborate with families, caregivers, residential providers, vocational programs, and other members of the client's support team as appropriate. Maintain compliance with agency policies, ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and applicable regulations. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, or other populations requiring behavioral support. Experience implementing behavioral interventions or individualized treatment plans. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide direction and constructive feedback to paraprofessional staff. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing respectful, person-centered services to adults with disabilities. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Preferred Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Behavioral Science, or a related field. Experience working in an ABA or behavioral health agency. Experience providing services to adult clients with developmental disabilities. Experience supervising, mentoring, or training direct-care/paraprofessional staff. Coursework or training in Applied Behavior Analysis. Experience with data collection, behavioral documentation, and implementation of behavior intervention plans. BCBA coursework or a demonstrated interest in pursuing advanced training in ABA is a plus.
