In this role, you'll work alongside teachers and special education staff to provide classroom, behavioral, and personal support that helps students reach their full potential.   • What You'll Do:
  • + Support students in the classroom and school environment + Assist with behavioral and instructional needs + Encourage student confidence, independence, and success + Provide personal care and mobility assistance when needed + Collaborate with teachers and support staff to help students thrive The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + High School diploma or equivalent required + Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age
