Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role where you'll make a daily impact in a local educational setting as a contract paraprofessional. Supporting instructional staff and assisting students in and out of the classroom, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning experience for all.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar support capacity strongly preferred Ability to build rapport with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds Skilled in following lesson plans and educator instructions, providing one-on-one or small group support Patient, adaptable, and proactive in responding to classroom needs Effective communicator with students, teachers, and other school staff Willingness to assist in a variety of classroom settings and support both academic and behavioral development
Role Responsibilities:
Work side-by-side with teachers to deliver instructional and behavioral support for students Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful classroom climate Provide small group or individual assistance to students who need extra help Help implement classroom activities, monitor student progress, and assist with record-keeping Supervise students during transitions, lunch, or recess as directed Support students with special needs per their individual plans, ensuring accessibility and engagement This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant school community near Suisun City, CA, while gaining valuable experience in education and student support.
