Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support educational success and make a meaningful difference as a dedicated paraprofessional for a 10th grade student exhibiting moderate to severe behavioral needs. This onsite opportunity is a contract position based near Victorville, CA, working in a supportive school environment where your experience will directly impact a learner's academic and social development. The assignment is set to run through June 1, 2027, with hours totaling 35 per week.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in an educational or behavioral setting Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and experience working with moderate to severe behaviors Comfortable and reliable assisting a single student (1:1) both in class and during bus transport Exceptional communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families Bilingual in Mandarin is highly preferred and would be a valued asset Ability to remain calm, patient, and resourceful in challenging scenarios
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 support throughout the school day to a high school student with behavioral needs Assist with classroom activities, assignments, communication, and behavioral redirection Supervise and support the student during transitions, including bus rides to and from school Collaborate with educators, therapists, and school personnel to implement individualized plans Foster a positive, inclusive environment and encourage the student's independence and growth If you are passionate, adaptable, and ready to use your skills to help a student thrive, your contributions will make a lasting impact.
