Job Description

The CCC is a work/learn program with over 20 locations located throughout the state. Created by the Governor Jerry Brown in 1976, the California Conservation Corps was modeled after the federal Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930s. The primary focus of the program is Corpsmembers and providing structure through hard work and development while providing environmental/conservation enhancements to our local communities and beyond. The position is based out of the Mendocino Center and will provide support to the Center in day-to-day operations. Tasks and duties may include, but are not limited to: Ensuring Center Health & Safety by providing 24-hour Coverage by shift Activity Coordination and Planning Clerical Support/Data Entry/Filing Instruction of Courses Mentoring/Coaching Special Projects Desirable qualifications: A self-starting, highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual, with excellent analytical skills, and a continuous desire to learn. Desire to work with young adults as a mentor. Ability to work in a diverse environment. Desire to enhance and develop innovative programs for young adults. Available to work full time/part time: various shifts.
Proficient skills in:
Data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Ability to manage priorities in a team-based environment. Excellent communication, planning, organizing, and customer service skills. Possess California Driver's License with clean driving record. High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred but not required. Experience working with youth is desired but not required for the right applicant.
Pay:
$19.00 per hour
