The positions are part of the Student Services division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit, located at the CHAAMP (Communities Helping Adolescents with Autism Make Progress) program in Mill Town Square, Downingtown, PA. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in education or psychology preferred Autism background and ABA experience required Valid PA Driver's License required; Must meet CCIU procedures for transporting students (including motor vehicle record check; please see attached document for more information) CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire Registered Behavior Technician credential required to obtain within 90-days of hire PA Criminal and Child abuse Clearances current within 180 days required for RBT process FBI clearance current within 1 year of start date required Clearance as an MA provider by Pennsylvania and the federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and directing a behavioral model for the students at the CHAAMP program, a secondary transition program for students with moderate to severe autism. Use principles of applied behavior analysis to extinguish negative behaviors and promote positive replacement behaviors as developed in a student's IEP. Maintain continuous data to document frequency of targeted student behaviors and goals. Transport and accompany students in the community to develop and reinforce social, recreational, and vocational skills per IEP goals. Utilize de-escalation techniques and management strategies for student-student or student-staff conflicts. Hourly Rate 2026-2027

  • Placement on salary scale based upon years of experience in a similar position.
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 225 days/year (190 days during regular school year and 35 days during Extended School Year) 7:30 AM
  • 3:00 PM, with a working lunch
