Important:
Level III Provider Qualification Required- This position serves children and adolescents with complex behavioral health needs, including verbal aggression, physical aggression, emotional dysregulation, and elopement.
Level III Qualification:
Applicants must have a master's degree in a related behavioral health field or a bachelor's degree plus at least five years of direct experience supporting children or adolescents with significant behavioral and mental health needs.- Come join our team as a Behavioral Health Respite Provider (BHR Provider) and get excited to help enhance the lives of kids and adolescents!
POSITION TYPE
oPart Time Hourly:
Our providers can work a variety of hours per week with full autonomy over their schedule, perfect for balancing making a difference in a child's life within your current activities! o Okay, but how many hours are we talking? Hours per week could range anywhere from 8-25, depending on the need in your area. (Average hours typically fall in the 10-15 hour range, especially at the start of employment). o Can I take on more than one client at a time to gain more hours? Absolutely! We are happy to work with you in finding a client load that works for you, as well as the current needs of the business. o Am I going to be driving to only work 1 or 2 hours? No way! All visits are a minimum of 3 hours per day. o When do these hours take place? This position will typically require evening and weekend availability , as this is when most families need help. (This may adjust slightly at times when school is not in session.)COMPENSATION
oClient Contact Rate:
Your time spent with clients will compensate you at an hourly rate of $25- 27 per hour.
Client Contact Rate Determination:
During the interview process, your skills, education and experience will be evaluated to determine your Provider Level (1, 2, or 3). Your level will indicate the pay rate you qualify for. o What About Administrative Tasks? During approved administrative activities (think New Hire Orientation & training), the hourly rate for this position will be $20/hour. o In-Home Means Driving. Do you reimburse mileage? YES! Approved mileage will be compensated at a rate of $0.70 per mile. We strive to keep clients in a commute range that is comfortable for you, with the help of our very talented Coordinator.- Mileage reimbursement rate subject to change based on state and federal regulations.

Do you think you + VitalCare = a great match? Let's find out! Here is what we are looking for:- You are at least 18 years of age .
- You have spent at least 2 years in a Behavioral or Mental Health position.
- Your Bachelor's or Master's Degree is in a related field of study.
- You have a combination of education and experience that is comparable to the above requirements.
- A working knowledge of Behavior Management Theories, Applied Behavior Analysis skills and techniques, and positive reinforcement, along with experience working with individuals who have a history of elopement or verbal/physical aggressions is in your repertoire.
- Your previous job title was Teacher, Paraprofessional, Registered Behavioral/Psychiatric Technician, Youth Mentor, Babysitter or Nanny (these titles require that you have extensive experience with children with various mental health diagnoses)
- or anything that falls into a similar space!
- You're in school for a Master's of Counseling program and looking for extra experience.
- You will regularly travel to complete home visits, so a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are required at time of hire.
- You are willing to complete TB Screen at the time of hire and keep it up to date annually.
- Keeping yourself and others healthy by getting your annual Flu Vaccine is something you are comfortable with.
- You are fantastic at communicating (in person and in writing) and building strong working relationships with co-workers, clients, and families, and you are comfortable discussing sensitive issues related to the healthcare process with them.
- As it is in any position, there is going to be some paperwork. This does not deter you, because you can complete progress notes, assessments, etc. accurately
- and on time
- without breaking a sweat! You are also conscientious, observant, and proactive in this documenting services provided and know to report any changes in your client's health to your supervisor.
- You look forward to strengthening your skills (and even learn new ones!) via trainings and other learning opportunities!
- Setting functional goals (working on daily routines, learning age-appropriate kitchen skills, strengthening ability to emotionally regulate, etc.
Bonus points if:
- Your behavioral or mental health experience is with children/adolescents
- especially with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, PTSD, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, or Autism.
- You enjoy working with kiddos under 5 years of age.
- You have experience with children who still require diapering.
